Mark 1:16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew
his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you
to become fishers of men.
18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
19 And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son
of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their
nets.
20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee
in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
Mark 7:5
Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples
according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of
you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the
commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of
men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye
do.
Mark 11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of
thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and
began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew
the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through
the temple.
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house
shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it
a den of thieves.
18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they
might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished
at his doctrine.
Acts4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified,
whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before
you whole.
Acts 4:34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many
as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices
of the things that were sold,
35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution
was made unto every man according as he had need.
36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is,
being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country
of Cyprus,
37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the
apostles' feet.
Acts 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife,
sold a possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy
to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart
to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was
sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing
in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost:
and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council:
and the high priest asked them,
28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach
in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine,
and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought
to obey God rather than men.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged
on a tree.
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour,
for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy
Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel
to slay them.
Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
as saith the prophet,
49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will
ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
50 Hath not my hand made all these things?
51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always
resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they
have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom
ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have
not kept it.
54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they
gnashed on him with their teeth.
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into
heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand
of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing
on the right hand of God.
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and
ran upon him with one accord,
58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses
laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not
this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
Acts8:13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized,
he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs
which were done.
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria
had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might
receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized
in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands
the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands,
he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because
thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart
is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps
the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in
the bond of iniquity.
24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that
none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
Acts9:26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself
to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that
he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared
unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to
him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed
against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
Acts 13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they
found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent
man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of
God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood
them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost,
set his eyes on him.
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child
of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert
the right ways of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt
be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on
him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by
the hand.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished
at the doctrine of the Lord.
