Problems with the British Israel Theory
The problem with the British Israel theory that indicates only the descendants of the Israelites can be saved is indicated in many verses and points below. The British Israel theory would enable us to judge who will be saved and the Bible says we cannot do this (Rom 10:6,7). The Bible says to preach the gospel to every creature and it does not say we should not preach to different races. The British Israel theory would encourage certain people not to seek God. There are people of other races who are very committed and seeking God. Also anyone can become an Israelite by moving to Israel. In the same manner God may judge that someone may move to Israel or spiritual Israel if they seek and obey God. But most importantly there are several scriptures that indicate people of other races can be saved. In Matt 15:22-28 Jesus healed a Canaan women and said she had great faith. In Joshua a Lady in Jericho was saved despite not being an Israelite. Ruth was a Moabite and a woman of God. (Rth 1:22 ). In John 4 Jesus appeared to a woman of Samaria despite Jews do not have dealings with Samaritans. Many Samaritans also believed. Paul went to the gentiles after the Jews rejected him. There is a distinction between Jews and Gentiles. In Numbers 12 Miriam was struck leprous by God for accusing Moses of Marrying Ethiopian women. It appears God was indicating that it was fine to marry a believing Ethiopian woman and that we should not discriminate against people on the basis of race. The below verses indicate that people of different races can be saved.
Galatians 2: 14
But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
The below verses are often used to support the theory of British Israelism. The Bible indicates that God hates Esau and the descendants of Esau for a long period of time. But even if he still hates the descendants of Esau today it is hard to be sure who are the true descendants of Esau today. You can't assume that his descendants make up all the nations apart from Israel. There were many other people alive at the time of Esau that would have had descendants, which formed non-Israeli nations. Rom. 9:13 "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."
